Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I thought I'd write down what I am thankful for this year (in no particular order).
1) That God blessed us with our daughter. I think about how badly we wanted her and am thankful EVERY DAY for her.
2) Our families-- they are wonderful. We were especially blessed with wonderful parents, who love our daughter and take care of her while we work- even if they give her rice krispies & animal cookies. ;-)
3) My husband-- he is an answer to so many prayers, everyday.
4) Grandma was able to come home yesterday
5) We are financially ok... so many families out there are not, especially with the economy the way it is.
6) I have the best friends ever!!-- Who many of them were blessed with babies this year!

Lordy, Lordy Look Who's 30
The "Craps" corner.

Quite a spread of snack foods.

I think Grandma had a good time.

I kicked off my 30th birthday with "Casino Night" at Bonnie's. It was lots of fun. Friends and family showed up to help me celebrate. We had numerous games to play: pool, craps, black-jack & poker. Check out the pictures that show the awesome decorations. My cake was delicious of course!! 30 doesn't feel any different than 29. :-)
I celebrated the big 30 all weekend. Sunday was my traditional birthday dinner-- kraught-burgers! We wait all year long for my birthday to get here to eat those yummy things! It takes mom & dad all day to make the dough, fry the hamburger meat- then steam the cabbage and onions. They use that mixture to stuff the dough and bake!! DELICIOUS!

My friend Sherrill
Can you believe how big Miss Sherrill is!! This is Addi's & Sherrill's first picture together. I bet they'll be friends just like their mommies. Even if Sherrill gets to be too grown up for us little girls, her new sister and Addi will be closer in age and bestest friends. I'm sure all the girls will be trail riding every weekend. Rex and Tristan will have to come up and join in.

Thank Goodness!!!
Thanks to everyone's prayers, Grandma's pathology results are good. Her cancer was Stage 1 lung cancer and all was removed during surgery! Her lymphnodes came back negative... the cancer hasn't spread!!! :-) She will still have to be checked every 3 months to make sure.
Today she is progressing. They removed all of the tubes and wires today. The nurses and physical therapists are helping her move around. She is very weak from being in bed almost 1 wk. She will be moved to a rehabilitation center over the next few days, so therapists can get her up and walking. Continue with the prayers! They are working!

Busy few weeks
Sorry that it's been so long between posts. We've had a busy couple of weeks. We've had Halloween, my 30th birthday ( more about that in a later post), my grandmother was diagnosed with lung cancer & since has had surgery to remove her lower lobe of her right lung. I am writing this post before I go to the hospital. She seems to be recovering good. The Dr.'s are just trying to control her pain, so she can function & move around. We are also hoping to have the chest tubes removed in the next few days. We have not got ant results from the pathology... maybe tomorrow. I will post more tomorrow about her recovery-- I will try to be as detailed as possible, so you (James) can stay updated. :-)
Addi is keeping us on our toes. She wants to stand all of the time. She will walk as soon as she can balance herself. She is currently hooked on making a "Boo" sound.. don't know what she's trying to say. She loves her walker and will follow us everywhere we go. Her daddy discovered that her legs are tickleish-- she laughs like crazy when you squeeze her thighs.
Gotta run-- to go check on grandma. I've scheduled a few posts to publish over the next few days.

Addi's First Halloween
Addi's first Halloween was fun. She dressed up as a Denver Bronco's cheerleader. We got together with her cousin Jacob and friend Jared (he will be in Addi's class when they start school). We took a few pictures. Jacob had to be something "scary", I think he just wanted a costume that showed blood. :-) Jared was a cow-- he fell asleep before pictures- he is 4 months younger that Addi. After pictures at Grandma & Papa's house we all met the other Grandparents for dinner. After dinner we had to make another stop to see Aunt Bonnie- she dressed up for school-- I think punk rocker (80's) was the theme. All in all, our Halloween was pretty low-key and fun. I think that will be our last one like that-- next year we will be out with the masses trick-or-treating!! :-)
